It's Time for a Change

Elsie has decided she is tired of torturing herself with tangles. Thus we will head to the hairdresser tomorrow afternoon for a 'new do'. ("But not as short as Aunt Emily's, okay Mom?")

We decided to have a mini-photo session this afternoon to capture her golden locks one last time!

Spring

Loving our yard this time of year :) Too bad we don't own it!

Anniversary weekend

Well Jon and I celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary this weekend by going to a small town called Sutter Creek in Northern California. We stayed at a really nice bed and breakfast and went wine tasting. We hired a guy to drive us around in his 1937 La Salle Cadillac and take us to the wineries in Amador county. Really fun experience! There happened to be a Porsche club at one of the wineries, and Jon was in heaven.

On our way home, we went mining. We toured an old gold mine, and went 550 feet below ground. It was really neat to be underground and see the quartz and gold in the walls.

My First Quilt

When we were home for Christmas, Mom gave me a bag full of fabrics and a partially created quilt that she started sometime in the 80's. I decided to take the completed parts and create a birthday present for Mema. I enjoyed every step of the process, from piecing to actually quilting, and hand-sewing the binding (great TV watching activity!). The best part of the process was using Mom's sewing machine that has been so graciously give to me.

It was definitely a labor of love!

~Love you Mom~

2009 Boston Marathon

Supporting the O's during the marathon.  Unfortunately, my colors and mohawk did not inspire them.  The Sox beat them 12-1 to complete the 4-game sweep.

Steep Ravine

Wow we had an AMAZING weekend. We were lucky enough to have the inside connection and went to the Steep Ravine cabins in Mt Tamalpais State Park. It was so incredibly relaxing and refreshing. It's definitely something we're hoping to do again! Enjoy the photos..

We're glad it's warm out!

Been having a busy weekend with all the neighborhood kids over, playing water games.

Just love this time of year (:
Oh, and by the way, I went to see Benjamin Button last night with Margot. It was much more emotional than I imagined. Really enjoyed it!
Happy Sunday~
