When we were home for Christmas, Mom gave me a bag full of fabrics and a partially created quilt that she started sometime in the 80's. I decided to take the completed parts and create a birthday present for Mema. I enjoyed every step of the process, from piecing to actually quilting, and hand-sewing the binding (great TV watching activity!). The best part of the process was using Mom's sewing machine that has been so graciously give to me.
It was definitely a labor of love!

Wow its beautiful! Great work :) Someday we'll have to make another and have everyone sew part of it. Still working on getting into a sewing class...
